I was doing some research for one of my sites, Alternative Energy Radio, and even though rain water collection has nothing to do with alternative energy, it is an alternative sustainable project, so, I will talk about those also. Anyway, I was looking at some different articles on rain water collection. At the end of this one article, see below

How to Build a Rainwater Collection System – wikiHow

The top of your rainwater collection system is made by cutting the top off a five gallon / 10 liter bucket. An important thing to keep in mind when putting together your rain collection system is that standing water can be a haven for …

Under Warnings: it says:

Check the legality of doing this with your local city officials, as it is illegal in many areas to collect and hold any kind of water for re-use. E.g. Colorado, US[1]

What is our country coming to? Who do “they” (government officials) think they are? Do they own the rain??? I DON’T THINK SO! I for one, will NEVER go ASK if I can collect rain water. I think this is one of the stupidest things I’ve read.

I think my Father, owns the rain and gives it to us all, not some group of officials to control.

What do you think? Let me know and use the comments below.

Are You Involved With Alternative Energy?
Are You Involved With Alternative Building Methods?
Are You Concerned About Sustainability?

One of my passions is sustainability. In energy, building methods, and farming. If you personally are involved in ANY projects, directly, or know of some that would be of benefit to others, please use the contact form below. I would like to hear about it. This will also help to get the word out and promote it.

Here’s the deal. I can not say to much about it NOW, but I am involved with a company that is starting a network of websites. One of the parts of it, is to help ‘others’ promote their interests, passions, causes, and even their businesses. No cost, no strings attached. It is exciting for me to be a part of it.

If the people involved in any sustainable, alternative energy/building/or agricultural project, big or small, would like to share it, send me a brief message about it, and I’ll let them know more of the details. This will help everyone involved, except big business. So, whether you want to just help others so they too can do it for themselves, or to get FREE promotion of the project, let me know.

People need to start doing for themselves. To free themselves, help the enviroment, save money, and many other reasons. We need to think more locally, and build a better food and energy chain. The altenative is to be held prisoner. THINGS WILL GET WORSE, unless we work together, work smarter, locally, and sustainablly. Share what you know, share what you are doing!

One last thing. Please, please, let others know about this. If you have contacts with others interested in these projects, in forums, websites, ect., tell them to drop me a note here.

To a better future,

Thomas John Fisher
