As my wife and I start this new year, we, like you have high hopes for a better, healthier, and prosperous year.  We are claiming this year for us.

I ended 2009 in worse health.  I personally have and have had very high blood pressure, untreated for over a year now, and it got the better of me.  Been off work for 3 weeks, many doctor visits and tests.  Now under medication, it’s almost under control, and few days from going back to work.  Next is sleep tests for ’sleep apnea’.  Also, changes in diet, and exercise.

We are both overweight, and need to lose weight.  So, hopefully, this will help that as well as my blood pressure.  The goal will be to be to get my blood pressure down naturally, reduce the blood pressure medications, and then finally get off them completely.

These are things that I’ve been planning on doing for some time now.  Not the medication, but the rest.  Now I REALLY need to get started.

Usually I don’t make New Year Resolutions, but this time is different.  So, from now on, I and my wife, will exercise, eat healthier, and get our health back.

One of the diet plans is a mainly raw food 21 day plan by Chet Day.  If you’d like a copy of it [click here and download "21 Days" pdf.  -I'll be adding it soon]  I’ll be reporting it to you as the days go by.  First, we will be reading it, and making needed plans to implement it.

So, more on that in a couple of days.

Another resolution I am going to make, is to focus on is my website Sustainable-America.com Help me, help you and others make our local communities, families, and country, stronger and energy independent.  This can become a reality, if we believe and act.  Learn with me what others ARE DOING in their local areas to become sustainable and renewable.  Not just in energy, but in as many areas of our lives as possible.
