About Me

Hi,

Originally born and raised in Iowa.  Moved to Washington state in 1980.  By trade a meat cutter for retail grocery stores. My wife’s name is Kathy.  We have 6 children, and 17 grandchildren.

Got started with computers and the internet in the fall of 1995.   Think it’s a very wonderful thing indeed.  It has opened up the world of possibilities and opportunities.  Lacked money to invest in the proper learning material to get going sooner with websites and blogs, so I was self taught.  Searched for and consumed all the free training I could.

I have many interests, and will be sharing many of them here.  One of the things I wanted to start doing this year was to make a habit of posting daily.  I’ve been busy on other sites and getting a hugh project ready to get going.  More on that later.

My interests are:

I believe that we can have a much better life then what we were taught to have.  That “things” aren’t that important, and to be truely wealthy, means to have the ability to produce!  Not having things, or money.

I have a dream.  To be living on a piece of vacant land.  To turn that into a self-sustaining homestead.  To be self-sufficient, in food, shelter, and energy.  If you think about it, if you own your house, raise your own food, and can provide for your energy needs, there’s not much else that you need.  To me, that’s living.  Family, friends, and to be able to provide for yourself and family.  Not be tied down to a job you don’t want, to …  I could go on, but I think YOU know too well what I’m talking about.
